Great breeder!
Kiko has some great lines going. Very ethical breeder. Has very healthy and beautiful cresteds. I would not hesitate to buy from her again as she is very honest and efficient and really knows this breed. Her dogs are worth every penny you will spend.

After doing much research to find a high quality Hairless Chinese Crested we decided to purchase a puppy from Dare to be Bare, and it was the BEST decision we could have made! Jennifer answered all of my questions happily, kept me well up to date on the condition of our puppy (Dare to be Bare's Dazzling Diva) until we were finally able to bring her home. Even after Diva came home with us, and we had a few questions, Jennifer was more than happy to answer them and give me some tips and ideas on everything from food to house training. It is very obvious they have very high standard for their breeding program, as they produce exceptionally aesthetically pleasing puppies that have a very pleasant disposition. I have never encountered ANY breed that loved people as much as Cresteds!
It is very apparent that Jennifer and Kiko take much pride in their pups and in the breed through their wealth of knowledge and information (and all of their Champion Chinese Cresteds). I couldn't ask for a better Chinese Crested, or a better breeder. When we decide to get another puppy we will defiantly be purchasing from Dare to be Bare! Thank you SO much Jennifer and Kiko for all you have done for me, Randy, and Diva! We hope to do "business" with you again!

I think back to 2002 when I met Jen as I was looking for a breeder to find a Chinese Crested puppy. I was astonished at how Jen and I clicked right away. I couldn't have been happier! I knew that I could put 100% trust into her and Kiko that their puppies would be just as wonderful.
I was right. When the time came for the birth of my puppy, I remember getting an email from Kiko in February 2003 showing me my week old Chinese Crested! Finally, Dare To Be Bare's Bijou Dancing Cheval was here! He was adorable! He looked like a little piglet! As the weeks went by, Kiko sent me more pictures. I got to see week by week the wonderful transformation of my little piglet into the gorgeous Crested that he became. I was so impressed by the thoroughness of their business. Bijou is now 3 and he is the most loving, friendly, compassionate, playful dog I have ever met!
Since we had such a great experience in adopting Bijou, we decided we wanted to go to Jen and Kiko for another Crested puppy. This time, I got to see what puppies were already available via the website. That was when I saw my little lamb. He had the face of an angel! I knew right away that he would be a great addition to our home. So, in December of 2003, I brought home Luce (loo-chay). He was a Christmas gift for my husband. We couldn't have asked for a more loyal, loving, cuddly companion! Luce is 3 now also, and he is the light of our lives! Hence his name, Dare To Be Bare's Luce Della Mia Vita!
We cannot thank you guys enough! You have provided the highest quality Chinese Cresteds dogs for us. We are so happy! You have always been there for us if we ever had questions or concerns.
We are so grateful to you both for being the quality breeders that you are. We feel so fortunate to have found you guys! We have two wonderful dogs thanks to you!

Not only are our dogs part of our family, but we enjoy competing with them in obedience, agility and conformation. Hi Jen,
I have never seen a more well adjusted dog! Nimh has surprised us all. After the long flight, he came out of his kennel with kisses for all. He was just a little nervous with my weimaraner, but I put Merlin in a down stay and now it is kisses for him! ,lol The only sound he has made so far is a little growl at my persian, but it was just at first sight and now it is kisses for him too.. much to Pans dismay,lol.
He sat in my lap last night as I worked on the computer, and he would sit up and put his soft little cheek to mine as though he was giving me a sweet little puppy hug, and then he would lay back down. It absolutely melts your heart!!
Anyways just wanted to give a little upate on him, I am sure I will have more later!

Dear Kiko, dear Mary Ann,
It's about time to send my first big thank you over to you, although it is still
a couple of days to wait till I can take my new puppy into my arms - my little
Gucci, being awaited eagerly.
I believe I could not have found a better kennel to get my puppy from. Besides
any and every time information from Kiko and Mary Ann about the puppy and her
family, about what is feed etc., so much effort around finding the best and
shortest flight for shipping the girl to Europe, endless phone calls (with some
disgusting information), lots of paperwork, uncountable mails back and forth,
......... And it means very much for me, that you, dear Kiko, took Gucci to your
home to make her get used to the girl which will join her during this long trip
to Europe. This is something only a handful of people are thinking about or even
willing to do. All my "experience" since our first contact on November 24, 2008,
shows me that it was the right decision to have my new puppy from Daretobebare -
a most serious kennel (something not so common), great blood line, top quality
dogs, healthy dogs and for sure greatly socialized dogs (I have had completely
different experience in the past years with this breed and also during the years of
owning dogs and breeding another breed).
Kiko, I really appreciate so very much what you did for my little girl and for
myself, and I wish and hope that one day I can return the favour. It's hard for
me to express all this with the correct words, to express my feeling of
gratitude.
Mary Ann, I am grateful that you raised this beautiful girl and that you trust
me and let me give Gucci the home for her life so far away from where she was
born and dearly loved. Thank you for all your information about the girl and for
all the photos of little Gucci and her siblings as well as her parents. I
promise that you will always be kept up to date about Gucci's development and
her life here in this home with the other Chinese Cresteds, Briards and Yorkies
living here - you will be informed with words and photos and will abstractly
continue to take part in her life. Maybe some time you will wish that I don't
write so much and so often. :-) This girl will be a wonderful addition to the
family and she will be an enrichment for my kennel. And even if our dreams and
plans don't turn to come true, this girl will be loved and will be taken care of
all her life long - she will remain here, being a show or breeding dog or not.
Now let's hope that the weather does not change to the bad and that Gucci can
leave the United States as planned. As soon as she is here and feels a bit
comfortable, you both, Kiko and Mary Ann, will receive a message from me.
As for the time being, I think that I can already say that Gucci will not remain
the only dog from the kennel Daretobebare, I am sure that another one will come
and join her, sooner or later (if the breeders agree)! :-)

Now that little Gucci is here in her new home (after a fruitless try to ship her
out from Chicago, but finding a great way that she can still arrive here in
2008), I can see that all my thoughts and impressions about your kennel were
right. She is gorgeous, and she is a very funny and happy girl.
It was fascinating how she behaved from the moment we had first contact:
Although she had some hours at the airport in a strange area with nobody she
knew, then a long flight to Munich and about 3 hours to wait till finally I got
her out from the airport vet, she was wagging her tail and immediately came over
to me when I opened the vari kennel, and she licked my fingers. And when I
stopped my car ride to Austria and put collar and lead on Gucci, it was
absolutely no problem to walk around with her on the highway resting place. At
home she was immediately interested in all the other Cresteds her, and it only
lasted 1 day that she was running besides, under and over my Briards. :-)
I can only repeat my words: It was the best decision to have a dog from
Daretobebare. No doubt that my next puppy shall also be from your kennel.
Thanks to both of you, and thanks to Kiko for driving so many miles to get my
girl over here as soon as possible.

I've had Twiggy home for almost 2 months now and just wanted to send you an update and a thank you. Her training is coming along very well, and she stands for grooming with no problems.
