Please participate to help find the genetic marker for the non PRCD form of PRA
To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Kristina Narfstrom. I am a DVM, Phd researcher studying varying canine and feline genetic retinal diseases. I am initiating a study to evaluate a potential genetic marker for the non-prcd form of PRA in Chinese Crested Dogs.
In order to find the marker, we need dogs that have been clinically diagnosed as “affected” by board certified ophthalmologists. I encourage an ophthalmologic examination here at the University of Missouri for continuity, but this is not required if travel time/cost is prohibitive. Data can be obtained with your veterinary ophthalmologist. I can be contacted for further details.
